Job Summary
Oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area by planning, unloading, and checking in distribution shipments. Verify and merchandise all direct vendor arrivals while managing effective freight flow to ensure accurate sales floor inventory. Direct team members during freight processes and act as Manager on Duty to handle store openings, closings, and assigned tasks. Maintain back stock, manage damaged goods disposition, and uphold safety standards in the dock and exterior environment. Requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer
- Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines
- Positive attitude
- Ability to interact well with customers and associates
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
