Job Summary
Oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area by planning, unloading, checking in, and merchandising distribution shipments. Verify and process all direct vendor shipments while managing freight flow to ensure accurate incoming merchandise and minimize profit loss from damaged goods. Direct other associates during freight processes and act as Manager on Duty to complete assigned tasks including store opening and closing. Maintain equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior while adhering to visual merchandising standards. Requires high school diploma, six months of retail experience, and ability to lift 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer
- Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines
- Positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and associates
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
