Job Summary
The Receiving Team Leader (RTL) oversees the efficient operation of the receiving area, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor in line with established standards. Key responsibilities include planning and managing the unloading and checking in of shipments, maintaining the safety and organization of the receiving area, and ensuring pricing accuracy. The RTL directs other associates, acts as Manager on Duty, and is responsible for strategic organization and delegation of tasks. Strong communication skills, leadership capabilities, and a positive attitude towards customer service are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business
- Ability to work evenings, 3rd shift, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
