Job Summary
Oversee daily receiving operations, including unloading, inspection, and verification of incoming shipments for the manufacturing facility. Supervise and train receiving staff to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of received goods, discrepancies, and returns while collaborating with procurement and production teams to resolve supply chain issues. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and maintain inventory accuracy, preparing reports on metrics and team performance for management review. Approve direct reports time and attendance, facilitate monthly safety meetings, and enforce OSHA compliance to keep the work environment organized and safe.
Required Qualifications
- Reside in or around the Houston, TX area
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in receiving or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment
- At least two years of verifiable supervisor experience
- Proven experience in supervising or leading a team
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and shipping/receiving procedures
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to manufacturing. OSHA compliance
- Proficient in all Microsoft products (excel, word, power point)
- Approving time off for staff and updating time sheets in ADP platform
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. - SAP
- Inventory management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
