Job Summary
Supervise, train, and support Receiving Specialists to ensure accurate and timely processing of all inbound shipments, returns, and warranty items. Assign daily work, monitor workloads, and ensure staffing coverage aligns with operational needs while providing ongoing coaching and performance management. Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of inventory, verifying packing lists against purchase orders and updating systems accurately. Enforce workplace safety standards, investigate discrepancies, and partner with Warehouse Leadership and Purchasing to resolve inbound issues. Track performance metrics for accuracy, timeliness, and quality while continuously evaluating processes to identify efficiency improvements and error reduction opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, departmental, and corporate goals
- Critical thinking ability - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to monitor and assess performance of self, team members and the operation to make improvements or take corrective action
