Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations, including scheduling personnel for shipping and receiving, managing order pickers and forklift operators, and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety regulations. Supervise warehouse specialists to maintain efficient equipment, resolve discrepancies in invoices and packing slips, and execute storage buy audits. Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth product flow, handle employee inquiries, and manage progressive disciplinary processes while maintaining accurate activity reports.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience
- preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
- Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
- Effective communication skills (oral and written)
- Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons
- Ability to exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Knowledge of OSHA local and state regulations
- Ability to handle confidential information, currency, and other forms of payment
- Ability to contribute to a safe and secure work environment for associates, customers, other third-parties with which we do business, and Company property
- Ability to comply with the Los Angeles City Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance
- Ability to comply with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers
- Ability to comply with the California Fair Chance Act
