Job Summary
Stocking Associate role performing merchandise stocking duties in Receiving and on the Sales Floor. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, replenishing shelves and back stock per merchandising guidelines, maintaining product knowledge, pricing maintenance and signing, keeping work area clean and stocked, and providing world-class customer service. Requires ability to calculate discounts, communicate professionally, operate the POS system, and work with management and co-workers. Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds (occasional up to 100 pounds) and to stand/walk for prolonged periods; familiarity with UPC codes and stock procedures; retail environment experience desirable. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale (POS) system
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Knowledge of UPC codes and stocking procedures
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of shelf labeling and plan-o-grams
- Ability to read and follow merchandising guidelines
