Job Summary
Place incoming materials into Arrived Status in the ERP system and verify part quantities against purchase orders. Conduct initial quality inspections of parts against engineering documents and specifications, including First Article Inspections. Operate a forklift and receive verified purchase orders into the ERP system. This temporary assignment at our NW Houston facility runs approximately four to six months. The role involves moderate PC work and occasional lifting of boxes weighing up to 35 lbs within a factory environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1 years' experience in Receiving and Inspection of manufactured and purchased parts
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year experience in the use of general measurement equipment found in a light engineering environment (includes height gauges and calipers etc.)
- Demonstrated strong and effective communication skills; written, oral, and inter-personal
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- MS Office experience
- Operate Forklift
- Average vision and hearing is sufficient
- Occasionally, there is pushing and lifting/carrying of boxes weighing 35 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- working knowledge of MRP system is a plus
