Receiving Inspector

Job Summary
The Receiving Inspector will inspect, document, and process all incoming materials and units per customer requirements, quality standards, and internal procedures. Responsibilities include immediate damage documentation with photos, preparing incoming documentation per POs, generating shop travelers with customer specs, designating units for Warranty Inspection, resolving discrepancies before routing to production, ensuring shop travelers are complete, including relevant documents for modifications, maintaining and updating capability lists, recording aircraft make/model on docs, identifying visible damage, scanning items into the system, labeling containers with work order numbers, noting if repairs are minor or major, noting Dual Release and CAA UK requirements when applicable, and communicating with Quality Control and Customer Service. The role requires physical activity (sitting/standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 35 pounds) and education/training in a manufacturing/receiving environment, with full-time employment at EDN Aviation, Van Nuys, CA. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of related experience and/or training
- Ability to document damage and photograph as needed
- Experience with creating shop travelers and handling customer specifications
- Familiarity with ECNs, customer instructions, and documentation practices
- Ability to identify damage, discrepancies, and paperwork issues
- Strong communication with Quality Control and Customer Service
- Proficiency in basic administrative tasks (typing, emailing, filing)
