Job Summary
Receiving Inspector responsible for incoming inspection of raw materials, mechanical components, electronic parts, hardware, and assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase orders. Verify documentation (certificates of conformance, raw material certifications, test data, special process certs) per AS9100/AS9102 standards; perform visual inspections with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, borescopes; identify and segregate nonconforming material and initiate NCRs; maintain inspection records in ERP/MRP or QMS ensuring traceability; support audits and contribute to continuous improvement in incoming inspection and supplier quality; ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage per ESD, FOD, and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in receiving or quality inspection within aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and specification interpretation
- Proficiency with standard inspection tools and measurement techniques
- Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102 First Article Inspection, and general aerospace quality system requirements
- Ability to identify defects, document findings accurately, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
