Receiving Department Manager

Job Summary
Leadership role overseeing the Receiving department, including hiring, mentoring, coaching and developing Team Members; ensuring productivity and engagement while upholding health & safety, food safety and loss prevention standards; managing merchandising, inventory, scheduling and achieving financial objectives; implementing initiatives aligned with company objectives; monitoring local market conditions and competitors; delivering exceptional service to Team Members, Customers and Vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Post secondary education
- minimum of 2 years of food retail experience
- 1-2 years supervisory/leadership experience
- Certified Forklift Operator and certified trainer
- Knowledge of Employment Standards, WHMIS, Food Safety and Loss Prevention practices
- Knowledge of temperature control
- Radio Frequency gun knowledge
- Ability to verbally communicate with customers and staff
- Strong organization and tactical planning skills
- Strong initiative ability, excellent work ethic and a sense of urgency
- Ability to work in a high paced time constrained environment
- Strong leadership, motivation, coaching, development and mentoring skills
