Receiving Coordinator II

Job Summary

Receive, verify, and inspect deliveries while utilizing material handling equipment to transport shipments safely. Process receipts in the ERP system, review purchase orders, and document all transactions per Good Documentation Practices. Place materials in quarantine based on temperature requirements, apply correct labels, and forward samples to quality control for testing. Release inventory upon QC pass or move materials to in-use stock rooms following first-in, first-out replenishment protocols. Perform daily counts at laboratory points of use, investigate discrepancies, and maintain organized workstations using 5S concepts. Complete assigned cycle-counts, fill out inventory adjustment forms, and adhere to all safety regulations and SOPs. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in materials management, warehousing, shipping, receiving or related fields
  • Knowledge of inventory management processes related to receiving, quarantine, material release and transfer, and forward replenishment
  • Experience using ERP/WMS to receive PO's and perform various inventory transactions
  • Parcel shipping experience - packing shipments, creating shipping labels, and scheduling pickups
  • Ability and willingness to train new and existing employees on all relevant receiving and replenishment job processes
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion
  • Ability to read and follow SOP's, process flowcharts, and work instructions/job-aides

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience training new and existing employees on all relevant receiving and replenishment job processes
  • Reading/research and understanding of industry related issues and trends in warehousing, specimen handling, customer support, and use of technology in logistics
  • Attention to detail and ability to catch discrepancies
  • Self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience operating material handling equipment as needed (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
  • PC experience - data entry, using email, spreadsheets, and inventory control systems
  • Works well in a team environment and promotes teamwork
