Job Summary
Receiving Laborer assists the Receiving Manager with unloading trucks, moving and validating inventory, reviewing order documents for correct quantities, quality, and coding, and organizing the receiving area. Responsible for identifying and communicating order discrepancies, damages, and code issues; maintains documentation and signage; supports inventory transfers and proper storage of items per department procedures; operates forklifts and auxiliary machinery as needed; collaborates with store management to complete assigned tasks. Preferred experience in a garden shop or retail environment with working knowledge of Excel or a POS system (Counterpoint); High School Diploma or GED preferred. Flexible hours with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, communication, and adherence to receiving policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
