Job Summary
Unload inbound product from trailers and delivery vehicles, then break down, sort, and stage freight by item type, department, and storage location. Count and verify quantities against purchase orders, packing lists, and bills of lading while inspecting for damage or quality issues. Update inventory records and purchase orders using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners. Safely operate powered industrial vehicles including order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to meet productivity and accuracy standards. Perform daily safety checks, maintain a clean work environment, and follow standard operating procedures. Work a full shift standing or walking with moderate physical demands involving lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read purchase orders/shipping paperwork, count and verify product accurately
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, including shipping documents and labels
- Basic computer skills, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for a full shift
Desired Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, receiving or distribution experience
- Familiarity with pallet breakdown and freight sorting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating in a high-volume, high output environment
- Prior certification to operate forklifts and order pickers and the ability to obtain certification upon hire
- Fluent in English
