Receiving Area Specialist | 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bill of lading for visible damage, then review inbound documents to ensure accuracy. Research root causes for daily inventory inaccuracies, record ASN/Receipt issues for offsite and main Plant, and complete daily receiving entries in the computer system for Accounts Payable filing. Collaborate with Inventory Control, vendors, planners, and the AP Department to validate adjustments and resolve outstanding payment issues. Maintain a safe work environment free of hazards and document all problems relating to product, process, or systems. Initiate solutions through appropriate channels, verify their implementation, and create necessary data documentation. Work Sunday through Thursday on the 3rd shift in Appling, GA, with overtime as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- Previous Receiving Experience
- Efficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Safety management mindset
- Focus on quality control
- Problem solving
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary
- Periodic stooping/bending
- Frequent walking/standing
- Occasional lifting of objects less than 25 pounds
- Occasional lifting of objects 25 to 50 pounds
- Ability to work around moving parts, machines, or vehicles
- Use of protective clothing
