Job Summary
Manage and coordinate purchasing and receiving of beverage items and materials, adhering to procurement policies and systems. Execute purchase requisitioning, inventory control, and storage functions to ensure timely, cost-effective product acquisition. Collaborate with kitchen, catering, and clubhouse teams to determine daily and event-specific requirements, then negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and service. Receive deliveries, reconcile undelivered or poor-quality items, maintain accurate inventory records, and authorize supplier invoices. Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and perform other duties as requested by the Clubhouse Manager.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of related experience in a Golf Club/hospitality environment
- Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures
- Complete knowledge of inventory control policies and procedures
- Extensive knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements
- Proficient with Word, Excel, email and internet
- Must have reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- College diploma in a Business Administration, Production or Inventory Management related program
- Certification with Purchasing Management Association, Association of Production and Inventory Control or equivalent
- Basic wine knowledge
