Job Summary
Receive inbound freight utilizing RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems, verifying quantity and condition while recording code dates, lot numbers, and temperature data. Put away product to primary pick or reserve locations within specific temperature zones using pallet jacks or forklifts, ensuring items are free of damage and infestation. Report variances to Operations Clerks and inventory personnel for carrier and supplier corrections, while maintaining proper lifting techniques and performing daily safety inspections on material handling equipment. Cross-train in other warehouse functions as assigned and adhere to Good Distribution Practices.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate shrink-wrap machine and manually shrink-warp product
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (fork lift, pallet jack, high lift)
- Ability to work flexible days and hours
- Schedule may include weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
- Desire and ability to work in a collaborative work environment
- 1+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Prior receiving experience
- Manhattan and SAP experience
- PIT certified on Fork/Clamp truck and Power Jack
- Ability to work in various temperature-controlled areas (Freezer -10 degrees), Cooler – 34 degrees) and Dry (ambient temps)
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
Desired Qualifications
