Job Summary
Receiver substitute position handling receiving, verification, and staging of vendor deliveries. Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, inspecting products for quality, counting and matching UPCs to orders, notifying buyers of discrepancies or out-of-stocks, and using electronic systems to track receipts. Maintain neat, safe receiving and back-stock areas, process returns for credit, and assist with stocking. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs, operating pallet jacks, teamwork, and on-site presence at Hunger Mountain Co-op in Montpelier, VT; varies hours with a 48-hour quarterly sub-coverage requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to use pallet jacks and other light-duty material handling equipment
- Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Be a team player
- Ability to organize both physical items and data
- Good time management
- Ability to focus on specific tasks for a long period of time
- Ability to be physically present onsite at the Coop to perform the requirements of this position
