Job Summary
Receive and stock merchandise accurately by matching electronic purchase orders and transfer documents to vendor packing slips, notating all discrepancies. Process return to vendor and non-returnable items, manage special order merchandise, and properly tag goods with barcode tickets. Perform weekly preventative maintenance on barcode printers, inspect footwear for defects, and maintain a clean, organized back room. Train and delegate tasks to stockers while reporting system problems to supervisors. Ensure all paperwork is filed correctly and merchandise is merchandised neatly per company expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Job requires associate to raise or lower objects from one level to another regularly during shift
- Job requires associate, on a regular basis, to carry objects up to 50 lbs
- Job requires that the associate regularly pick up objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to comprehend basic instructions
- Ability to interpret documents
- Ability to apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks
- Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond
- Associate must be able to read English
- Associate must be able to understand English
- Associate must be able to stay alert during work hours assigned
