Job Summary
Operate a forklift to unload incoming lumber, building materials, and hardware trucks, inspecting products, matching paperwork, and stocking inventory in Bistrack. Supervise other receiving employees by delegating daily tasks and ensuring completion while maintaining warehouse spaces and organizing product into pallet racking. Print, file, and read purchase orders and vendor bills of lading, communicate with the purchasing department regarding issues, and perform cycle counts to rotate inventory. Lift 75 lbs regularly and work in all weather conditions from cold snow to heat.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate a forklift efficiently and safely
- Ability to read and understand vendor and Koopman Lumber paperwork
- Ability to self-start and take instruction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
- Ability to learn and operate a computer and phone apps related to Bistrack for inventory maintenance and receiving
- Ability to learn and identify all types of hardware and building materials
- Must be able to lift 75lbs regularly
- Must be able to work in all weather types from cold to snow to heat
- Must be able to walk and climb into and out of a large forklift regularly
