Job Summary
As Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk at Albertsons, you will oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensure merchandise is accurately received, tracked, and stocked, walk the store daily to scan DSD items, identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions, and collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers and the File Maintenance Clerk while communicating with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution. You’ll monitor donations, manage grocery and non-perishable inventories, maintain a secure, clean backroom, and contribute to a fast-paced store operations environment. This entry-level role emphasizes inventory management, attention to detail, problem solving, organizational skills, and customer-focused service in a retail/grocery setting. The position requires basic computer skills (email, Excel) and physical capability to lift/carry 5–50 lbs., push/pull 10–50 lbs., and stand or walk for extended periods.
