Job Summary
Receiver at Family Farm and Home handles verification and processing of incoming/outgoing freight, ensures inventory accuracy, assists the store manager in reducing shrink, loads and unloads merchandise, operates forklift/pallet jack with proper licensing, separates Special Orders, tags items with security tags, maintains backroom organization, checks in inbound merchandise, oversees inter-store transfers, processes damage claims, stocks freight, answers customer service calls, and maintains compliance with company policies while contributing to a positive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Customer service oriented and team oriented
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
- Ability to distinguish between similar products
- Accurately count products and input data into the inventory control system
- Knowledge of basic computer systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stock items in overhead area
- Forklift and/or pallet jack operation with proper licensing
- Stocking freight
- Handling incoming/outgoing freight
- Backroom organization and cleanliness
- Adherence to store policies and audits
