Job Summary
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, documenting and reporting any discrepancies or damages. Organize and store materials in designated areas within the warehouse, collaborating with staff to maintain an accurate inventory system. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during the receiving process. Read customer orders, work orders, and shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and shipped. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences. This role supports Finetco's supply chain operations at Coventry Lumber, ensuring efficient material flow for commercial and residential construction clients.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role
- Basic computer skills for inventory management
- Experience in a lumberyard setting
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent communication, time management, and leadership
- Experienced in operating a forklift
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new operating systems
- Knowledge of Building Materials and their specifications
- Experience with BisTrack Software
