Job Summary
City Winery Receiver role focused on logistics of receiving goods for a wine, food, and live entertainment venue. Responsibilities include taking receipt of deliveries at the loading dock, verifying delivered items against purchase orders and invoices, checking expiration dates and condition (e.g., dented cans), separating and returning damaged/unacceptable items, storing products in walk-in cooler/freezer or dry storage, and maintaining inventory records. The role requires coordinating with the kitchen and Events Team, adhering to existing storage systems, and communicating stock status and any shortages to Executive/Sous Chefs. Strong organizational, communication, and physical stamina are essential to support peak service periods and ensure guests are serviced properly.
Required Qualifications
- Warehouse experience
- Forklift operator's license (preferred)
- Organizational skills
- Physical stamina and strength
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to think quickly and resolve issues
- Ability to perform physical requirements including standing for extended periods, kneeling, stooping, stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs
