Job Summary
The Receiver is a critical control point for cabinet production and the broader business. This role receives, inspects, labels, stages, and system-processes cabinet, casework, millwork, hardware, lumber, and door-related material in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities emphasize precise verification of item numbers, descriptions, quantities, dimensions, finish colors, wood species, and edge details; protect and correctly stage sheet goods, hardware, lumber, and doors; maintain 100% visibility and accurate receiving records from dock to location; collaborate with Purchasing, cabinet and door production, inventory control, shipping, project management, scheduling, and leadership; demonstrate grit, urgency, precision, accountability, and ownership while ensuring timely production flow.
Required Qualifications
- Strong warehouse, receiving, inventory, or production-support experience.
- Experience with cabinet, casework, millwork, hardware, lumber, or door material preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Ability to verify similar-looking materials accurately.
- Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, vendor labels, acknowledgments, and system information.
- Basic ERP, inventory, barcode, or warehouse management system experience.
- Forklift experience preferred or ability to become certified.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple departments.
- Ability to make good decisions without constant supervision.
- Ability to balance urgency, accuracy, safety, and material protection.
- Ability to work indoors, outdoors, on docks, and in inclement weather.
- Must demonstrate grit, ownership, reliability, accountability, and follow-through.
