Job Summary
Inspect bulk tankers by collecting raw dairy samples for organoleptic sensory evaluation and physical testing, including visual, odor, flavor, antibiotic, oil, and fat checks. Safely hook up tanker trucks to off-load products, pump raw dairy into specified bulk tanks, and perform routine cleaning, CIP, and SIP operations. Operate a lift truck safely, complete dairy records and system data entry, and manage product reclaim and rework operations. Follow all SOPs, GMPs, food safety requirements, and occupational health and safety procedures while supporting internal and external audits. Maintain good housekeeping and coordinate with other departments. This hands-on role operates in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with rotating day, swing, or night shifts and weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Must satisfy all State Appendix N certification requirements
- Must have a valid sampler/weigher certification or the ability to obtain the certification in a defined period of time
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) in detail without deviation
- Safe operation of a lift truck
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift
- Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures
- Physical lifting up to 50-lbs frequently throughout the shift

- Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing facility
- Ability to work rotating, days, swing or night shift and weekends
- Ability to work changing work days and shifts to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or related events such as audits
- Ability to effectively coordinate and cooperate with other departments
- Ability to perform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines
- Ability to comply with federal, state and local dairy food regulations
