Job Summary
Receive, verify, and store products from vendors by meeting them at the delivery point and transporting items to restaurants or storage. Match invoices against original order guides, adjust for shortages or damaged goods, and complete receiving logs. Check expiration dates, temperatures, and for contaminants on refrigerated items, then rotate and date all products per ServSafe food safety guidelines. Turn in all paperwork to management at shift end. Requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced airport environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one on-¬one and small group situations to customers and co workers
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to lift, carry and move up 75 pounds
