Job Summary
The Receiver is responsible for the end-to-end handling of deliveries at the Mavericks Performance & Training Center: receiving, inspecting, verifying, labeling, storing, and distributing food, beverages, operating supplies, and equipment. Core duties include checking deliveries against purchase orders and invoices, ensuring quality and freshness, maintaining accurate receiving and inventory records, applying FIFO inventory practices, and coordinating with culinary, hospitality, and procurement teams to support inventory control and food safety compliance in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The role requires meticulous organization, reliability, and proactive communication to manage discrepancies, replenish stock, and support facility logistics. Training and experience in receiving/purchasing within hospitality or sports-venue settings are preferred. The position is full-time, on-site in Dallas, with a flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in receiving, inventory control, purchasing, or hospitality support.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and receiving procedures.
- Ability to accurately review invoices, purchase orders, and delivery documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with inventory systems, spreadsheets, and email.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
