Job Summary
Detail-oriented Receivables Payment Clerk (Part Time) role in-office in St. Catharines, ON. You will process and apply payments from cheques, EFTs, and credit cards; ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of payment activity; support month-end close and auditability; maintain organized payment records; collaborate with Billing and AR to resolve discrepancies; assist with inquiries and drive process improvements to reduce exceptions and increase posting efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable, payment processing, or bookkeeping (or equivalent experience)
- Comfortable processing cheques, EFTs, and credit card payments
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; able to handle repetitive tasks with consistency
- Basic understanding of reconciliation and accounting fundamentals
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets); experience with accounting/ERP/billing tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to escalate issues clearly and promptly
- Able to handle confidential financial information with discretion and integrity
