Rebar Fabricator

Job Summary
Fabricate reinforcing steel products according to work orders and rebar tag specifications, including bar size, bends, quantities, and dimensions. Set up and safely operate rebar fabrication equipment such as shears, benders, and automated bending machines. Stack, band, and stage fabricated materials while organizing them per production flow. Inspect finished materials visually and through measurements to ensure conformance, identify defects, and make necessary adjustments. Prepare completed products for shipment using protective materials and maintain a clean, safe work area. Adhere to all safety policies, participate in required training, and report hazards. Perform duties indoors and outdoors with exposure to temperature extremes and noise. Requires forklift or overhead crane certification where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility
- Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes
- Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting
- Ability to perform work both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to be exposed to varying weather conditions
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment with regular exposure to temperature extremes
- Ability to work in an environment with high noise levels
- Ability to work in an environment with airborne particulates
- Ability to comply with established safety standards and procedures
- Ability to participate in required safety training
- Ability to promptly report hazards or safety concerns
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in rebar fabrication, manufacturing, or a related production environment
- Ability to read basic work orders and rebar tags
- Experience operating fabrication machinery
