Job Summary
Fabricate reinforcing steel products according to work orders, rebar tags, and customer specifications by operating shears, benders, and automated machines with 1/2" tolerances. Stack, band, and stage materials while inspecting finished items visually and through measurements to ensure conformance. Prepare products for shipment using protective bracing and padding, maintaining a clean, safe work area and reporting hazards per company safety policies. Perform tasks indoors and outdoors, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods, with forklift experience preferred. This hands-on role supports White Cap's diverse supply chain of concrete accessories and building materials across North America.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes
- Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility
- Forklift Experience
- Knowledge of construction and industrial products
- Ability to use a Tape Measure
- Ability to adapt / problem solve during the fabrication process
