Job Summary
Bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars according to customer orders. Operate shearing, bending, overhead crane, Fabmatic, and power saw machines to fabricate steel to specified shapes. Unload trailers, store materials in bins, and assemble orders for shipping. Apply epoxy touch-up with a spray gun and maintain the shop in a clean, safe manner. Assist colleagues with shop tasks. This entry-level role requires basic math skills and adherence to safety policies. Overtime and any shift work may be required. Some heavy lifting is necessary in a noisy, dusty, or hot environment.
Required Qualifications
- basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work any shift
- Must be familiar with, and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures
- Some heavy lifting may be necessary
