Job Summary
Bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders. Operate shearing, bending, overhead crane, Fabmatic, and power saw machines to fabricate steel to specified shapes. Unload trailers, store material in bins, and assemble orders for shipping. Apply epoxy touch-up using a spray gun and maintain the shop in a clean, safe manner. Assist other employees with shop tasks. This entry-level position requires basic math skills, a high school diploma, and the ability to work any shift, including overtime. Heavy lifting is necessary in a noisy, dusty, and hot environment.
Required Qualifications
- basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work any shift
- Must be familiar with, and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures
- Some heavy lifting may be necessary
