Real Time Trader Dispatcher

Real Time Dispatch Trader based in Clyde Operations Centre, operating in a 24/7 environment with 12-hour rotating shifts. Responsible for real-time operation of Contact’s generation assets, balancing safety, efficiency, and environmental and market constraints. Monitor live generation, hydrology, weather, and market signals; make time-critical decisions; act as central operational point of contact during events; follow defined escalation pathways; operate independently on some shifts and in collaboration with stakeholders on others. Role emphasizes disciplined, precise decision making in high-stakes, high-velocity conditions, with on-site roster and shift-based duties. Experience in energy, control rooms, trading, or analogous real-time operational environments is beneficial; technical or engineering background or equivalent operational experience is welcome. The position is based in Clyde, Central Otago, NZ, with on-site requirements and no broad geographic remote work.
