Job Summary
Supervise real property acquisition, negotiation, leasing, sale, disposal, and management activities for County property assets; oversee complex negotiations and preparation/review of legal documents and property descriptions; manage relocation processes, eligibility determinations, compensation calculations, and disbursement of payments; provide technical expertise on real property matters while ensuring compliance with County, state, and federal regulations; supervise staff/consultants, contract compliance, and ongoing property operations; review engineering plans and development proposals to ensure acquisition requirements; contribute to procedures, policies, budgets, and long-range planning for real property operations; maintain records management and confidentiality; represent the County in resolving public concerns and providing expert testimony when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business or public administration, real estate, planning, urban planning or civil engineering
- three years of experience conducting the sale or transfer of real property, relocation of persons and businesses displaced by government projects or programs, or the management of real property and property rights
- minimum of two of the required three years’ experience must be in negotiating the sale or transfer of real property
