Job Summary
Secure housing opportunities for homeless households by cultivating landlords, pursuing multi-unit rentals, and conducting extensive outreach. Build and maintain an inventory of move-in-ready units while negotiating holds and coordinating with county programs and committee meetings. Perform or arrange habitability inspections, including lead paint testing, and maintain compliance data in the Welcome MAT database. Serve as a liaison with landlords and property managers, transitioning unit holds to client leases and ensuring smooth turnovers. Collaborate with program teams to secure units meeting specific participant needs and maintain file compliance through regular audits. Use a personal vehicle to travel across Alameda County for these duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Real Estate license
- equivalent field experience
- 3 years of experience working in the housing field
- strong knowledge of the County's housing market
- strong knowledge of the County's geography
- Use of personal vehicle
- proof of valid California Driver's License
- current auto insurance
- clean DMV record
