Job Summary
Provide outstanding member service and contribute to overall team effort. Fully understand and actively assist members in using credit union products and services. Originate investment quality mortgage loans (FHA, VA, conventional, non-conforming) by selling mortgage lending products and services to the realtor and home builder communities. Interview members to obtain all personal and financial data needed to complete loan and/or membership applications. Analyze member applications, financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loan; approve or submit application for verification and recommendation. Ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy and requirements in regulations, i.e., FHA Title I and II, or secondary market purchases. Counsel members on financial issues when appropriate. Disburse loans and complete documentation accurately and efficiently. Track applications approved, booked, or denied; actively follow up on pending applications. Meet individual goals as assigned and work to meet branch and credit union goals. Meet NMLS licensing requirements and maintain NMLS registration. Ensure confidentiality regarding member transactions and information. Ensure compliance with all credit union policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Two years of experience in a similar position
- Or a combination of four years of college level education and experience in a similar position
- Meet NMLS licensing requirements and maintain NMLS registration
- Ensure confidentiality regarding member transactions and information
- Ensure compliance with all credit union policies and procedures
- State Mortgage Broker License preferred
- FHA and VA Lending experience preferred
- Construction Lending experience preferred
- Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus
