Job Summary
Board appointment to the District of Columbia Real Estate Commission; duties include governance and regulatory oversight of real estate licenses to protect consumers. Members must be DC residents and bring specific licenses (Broker, Salesperson, Property Manager) or be a licensed attorney, plus one non-licensed consumer member. The board meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., and appointments are made by the Mayor with advice and consent of the Council; the position is voluntary and time commitments are defined by monthly meetings.
Required Qualifications
- All members must be residents of the District of Columbia throughout their tenure on the Commission.
- Three members must each hold a Broker’s license; two members must hold a Salesperson’s license; two members must hold a Property Manager’s license; one member must be a licensed attorney; one member must be a consumer member who does not hold a real estate license.
