Job Summary
Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, letter agreements, and curative instruments for utility-scale renewable energy projects. Advise clients on site control, title insurance, and survey specifics while reviewing title commitments and preparing closing instruction letters. Counsel on property purchases and leases, addressing title defects and negotiating endorsements with title companies and surveyors. This role requires seven years of experience at a large national firm, with lateral candidates from Top 350 firms only. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in good standing.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice law and be in good standing in the state where the hired candidate will be practicing
- 7-10 years (10 years max please) of real estate experience
- Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, letter agreements, and other transactional real estate documents
- Experience advising on utility-scale renewable energy projects, particularly regarding site control and title insurance
- Experience counseling clients through purchases and leasing of real property, including working with title companies and surveyors in negotiating title insurance coverage and endorsement language and survey specifics
- Expertise in reviewing title commitments, preparing closing instruction letters, and drafting and negotiating curative instruments to address title defects and other title issues for developers
- Strong academic credentials

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in practicing with *Large National Firm
- Lateral candidates only please, those coming directly from another LARGE FIRM (Top 350) Currently practicing in this same practice group
- At least seven years of legal experience in real estate is required
- Experience in title matters is a must
- JD Education Required
- School Transcripts will be required for consideration
