Job Summary
Senior Real Estate Appraiser within the Valuation Services Group responsible for appraising 5+ unit multifamily residential, mixed-use and commercial properties to estimate market value in accordance with internal policies, USPAP & FIRREA; interview market participants for rent and sales surveys; manage time to meet service-level deadlines; understand building construction types, hazards, zoning; perform administrative tasks driving the CRE appraisal process; apply risk-based decisions to ensure appraisal reports are complete, accurate, credible, relevant, and reasonable; proficient in MS Word/Excel/Outlook; leverage local market knowledge and national real estate trends to support appraisal reports.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum a 4-year college degree
- A State Certified General Appraiser License
- Minimum 3 years of experience appraising multifamily residential, mixed-use and/or commercial properties
- Strong analytical, business writing and oral communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving
- Computer/technology knowledge as well as a proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Deep knowledge of local real estate market trends and neighborhoods
- Continual development of local market knowledge and national real estate trends
