Job Summary
Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions in heavy-duty trucks, engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems by observing and listening to equipment in operation. Repair and replace failed components, troubleshoot electrical issues, and perform services such as greasing, oil changes, and welding necessary for repairs. Operate shop tools, cutting torches, and air tools while maintaining a safe work environment in a heavy industrial setting. Requires ability to lift 50 pounds, pass background checks, and operate service vehicles. Required Qualifications
- Demonstrates proficiency in difficult and high-pressure situations
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic hand tool knowledge
- Ability to follow and add to safety culture to create a safe work environment
- Ability to work well with others
- Must be able to pass a background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing
- Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements and noise
- High school education or GED equivalent
- Operate service truck or tow truck with required license
