Job Summary
The Plant Maintenance Level 1 position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, or replacement of ready-mix plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum production quality and quantity. Key responsibilities include minor repairs to facilities, operating hand and power tools, performing general preventative maintenance with minimal supervision, assisting in the replacement of mechanical systems, and maintaining a safe workplace in compliance with safety policies and standards. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, have a maximum of 3 years of related experience, and be capable of interpreting safety and maintenance instructions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-3 years of related experience and/or training at a technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Class A or B CDL required or the ability to obtain
- Previous maintenance experience required
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and walk
Desired Qualifications
- Welding experience preferred
