Job Summary
Ready-Mix Outside Sales role focused on direct customer engagement, pricing oversight, and end-to-end sales processes for Ready-Mix products. Responsibilities include making direct calls on customers, assisting with pricing and quotes, handling inside and outside sales, developing product knowledge through trade shows and training, preparing quotes/bids, following up on customer satisfaction, resolving billing and delivery concerns, reporting market trends, and supporting month-end and operational tasks. Requires strong communication, customer service, multitasking, proficiency with MS Office, ability to travel, and capacity to operate in varied environments (offices, batch plants, jobsites). Preferred Associates degree in marketing and sales or equivalent experience; high school diploma is required; willingness to travel including overnight stays; ability to pass drug screening and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates degree in marketing and sales or comparable experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read and interpret project specifications and pricing
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Willing to travel (including overnight)
- Ability to operate computer terminal and manage multiple tasks
- Must be able to work in a non-smoking workplace
- Drug screening and security background check
- Able to work weekends as required
- Knowledge of pricing, billing, and customer relationship management systems
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
