Job Summary
Safely operate a ready-mix truck in accordance with Federal, state, and company regulations, efficiently loading and delivering perishable product while maintaining quality customer service. Complete required pre and post trip inspections, reporting necessary maintenance, and perform plant maintenance, cleanup, and other duties as assigned when not driving. Operate the truck to receive loads, evaluate slump, drive to job sites, attach chutes to discharge material, and clean the truck to minimize concrete buildup. Communicate with dispatch, maintenance, and plant management to facilitate information flow. Maintain a positive attitude, drive with a clean record, and pass pre-employment processes including a criminal background check, DOT physical, and drug screen. Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of a valid Class B CDL
- Ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to internal/external customers and team members
- Safety conscious for self and others
- Ability to pass pre-employment process, including criminal background check, DOT physical, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report
- Minimum one year of driving experience with the CDL License
- Ability to work outdoors with exposure to high and low temperatures and other outdoor environmental conditions
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and OT
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., multiple times a day
- Frequent reaching, climbing (up and down the truck several times a day), stooping, kneeling, crouching and sitting
- Ability to operate equipment, tools, and controls, performing repetitive movements with hands, wrists and feet
