Job Summary
Drive a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix to job sites, performing pre-trip inspections per D.O.T. regulations and filling water tanks before each run. Upon arrival, safely maneuver the truck on unstable ground, discharge concrete using chutes, and add admixtures or colors as specified on delivery tickets. Complete daily paperwork, collect payments, and communicate with dispatch via radio and status signaling systems. Call out daily start times and maintain a clean driving record while handling cash and making change. Work an average of 10 hours per day, four to six days a week, lifting 50 lbs frequently in extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Class A or B CDL or CDL Permit
- High school diploma (minimum); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical
- Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and meet company policy requirements
- Ability to handle cash and make change
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Maintain Department of Transportation Health cond.
