Job Summary
Drive a concrete mixer truck to deliver mix to job sites, performing pre-trip inspections and filling water tanks before each run. Upon receiving delivery tickets, charge the mixer with concrete and admixtures, then navigate unstable ground conditions to reach destinations using the most direct route. At the job site, add necessary ingredients like fibers or cement, place chutes for discharge, and complete paperwork and cash collection before departure. Communicate with dispatch via radio and truck status signaling, while calling out daily start times. Maintain a clean driving record, pass DOT drug and physical screenings, and handle cash and customer interactions diplomatically.
Required Qualifications
- Class A or B CDL or CDL Permit
- High school diploma (minimum); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical
- Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and meet company policy requirements
- Ability to handle cash and make change
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Maintain Department of Transportation Health cond.
- Lifting 50lbs. frequently
- Average Work Hours: 10 hours/day, 4 - 6 days/week
- Extremes temperatures (C or H)
