Job Summary
Ready Force Team Technician provides meter installation/exchange, maintenance and reading, and gas line surveying across the United States. Field-based outdoor role with up to 100% travel, requiring strong time management and safety awareness. Primary duties include meter maintenance and replacement, meter reading, surveying gas lines, and customer communication. Key skills include identifying hazards at meter sites, reporting findings, data entry on handheld devices, and collaboration with management and customers. Must have a valid driver’s license and be prepared for Pipeline Operator Qualification (OQ) training; experience in electric, gas, or water meter maintenance/installation/reading or gas line detection/surveying is required. Training and adaptability to outdoor conditions are essential, with occasional safety meetings and GIS/Microsoft Office proficiency considered a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in Electric, Gas, or Water meter maintenance/installation/reading or gas line detection/surveying
- OQ training completion (Pipeline Operator Qualification)
- Ability to walk long distances and endure outdoor conditions
- Ability to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and professional interaction with customers
- Basic computer skills and data entry into handheld devices
- Willingness to travel up to 100% across the United States
- High School Diploma or GED (Nice to have)
- Proactive safety engagement and participation in safety meetings
- Knowledge of GIS principles (nice to have)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (nice to have)
