Reading Tutor - Snapfinger Elementary School

Job Summary
Lead tutoring sessions with pairs of students for 20-minute reading practice blocks, ensuring each student receives support before returning to their classroom. Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software while tracking progress to meet regularly with the on-site coach. Deliver proven activities and coach students to build skills and confidence, sharing your experience with the community. Commit to your own growth through coaching and training as a caring adult focused on helping children thrive. Serve as a Reading Corps tutor for the 2026-27 school year, Monday through Friday during daytime hours.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to succesfully complete a background check
- Monday-Friday (no weekends)
