Job Summary
Lead tutoring sessions at Red Oak Elementary by pairing students for 20-minute reading practice daily, tracking progress in data software, and conducting skill assessments. Meet with the on-site coach regularly to review student scores and share your experience with the community. Commit to your own growth through coaching and training while helping students build confidence and celebrate their achievements. Positions run August 2026 through May 2027 for the 2026-27 school year. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a bi-weekly stipend and education awards.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to succesfully complete a background check
