Job Summary
Lead tutoring sessions with pairs of students for 20-minute reading practice, ensuring each student receives support before returning them to their classroom. Track student progress by conducting skill assessments and entering scores into data software. Meet regularly with the school's onsite coach to review data and share your experience with the community. Commit to your own growth through coaching and training while delivering proven activities. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a bi-weekly stipend and education awards.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Able to successfully complete a background check
